Artists must arrange collection of unsold works personally or via a nominated representative. DACE does not accept responsibility for packing or return of artworks via courier.

Art & Sculpture – Conditions of Entry and Sale

  1. DACE is primarily a local art exhibition representing the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding communities; therefore, interstate applications are not accepted. Artists are required to arrange collection of any unsold works, either personally or via a nominated representative. DACE does not accept responsibility for the packing or return of artworks via courier services.
  2. Entry forms must be submitted online no later than Friday 19th of June 2026. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  3. The number and specification of sizes of entry are included on the Fees and Commissions Section of this website.
  4. Artworks must be the original work of the Artist. If works are later found not to be original or, in the case of photography and print, are not part of a limited edition print run, they will be removed from the exhibition.
  5. Diptych/triptych works submitted as one entry must be clearly marked if able to be sold separately, and individual prices must also be included. Each entry must be on the entry form.
  6. No works previously exhibited with DACE will be accepted.
  7. All artwork must be of a durable material, suitably framed or mounted, in dry condition and wired ready to hang. The DACE Exhibition Committee reserves the right to refuse artwork that does not meet these conditions.
  8. Entry Fees and Entry Size Specifications are listed in the Fees and Commissions Section of this website.
  9. Entry fees are payable online via Gallery 247. Credit and Debit cards from Mastercard or Visa are accepted. NO OTHER FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED.
  10. Gallery 247 will email each accepted entry with a “Delivery / Collection Docket” and “Artwork Identification Labels” which must be fixed to the back of each artwork showing the Name of Artist, Title, Medium, Selling Price, Dimensions and Barcodes for the pre-assigned Artwork Number and Artist Number. These documents can also be downloaded by the artist from their Gallery 247 Profile. UNLABELLED WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  11. DACE is a major fundraiser for Derinya Primary School and the exhibition is viewed by primary school children of all year levels. Therefore, the DACE committee reserves the right not to display any artwork which is deemed inappropriate to be viewed by primary school children.
  12. The DACE Committee shall retain a commission of the selling value of any exhibit sold, including any orders placed during or as a result of the Exhibition. The rate of Commission is stated in the Fees and Commissions Section of the website.
  13. All proceeds from sales go to the Derinya Primary School Council.
  14. Artists should refer to the Key Dates Section of this website for details of when they will be paid.
  15. Artists can be assured that our talented DACE Committee shall display their works to their full advantage. The DACE Committee will exercise all possible care in handling the works submitted. Derinya Primary School has supplementary insurance to cover the exhibits whilst in the possession of the DACE Committee; from delivery Saturday 11th of July 2026 until pick-up Sunday 19th of July 2026.
  16. Artist are required to complete in Gallery 247 details of their Taxation Status: GST Category and ABN (if relevant).
  17. The Artist shall permit multi-media advertising relating to their entries as specified below:
    The Artist gives permission to The Derinya Art & Craft Exhibition (including committee & staff members), herein referred to as “DACE”, to take photographs of the artwork the Artist has supplied to DACE and use the resulting images for publications relating to DACE.
    Permission extends to DACE using the negatives and images from these photographs (including any photographs I may have supplied) for marketing or publicity purposes including, but not limited to, advertising, catalogues, flyers or website.
  18. If the Artist wishes DACE to discontinue using the images of my artwork they must advise DACE in writing. The Artist understands that any images being used for that current year of advertising/marketing may not be removed immediately (ie: publications current at the time of revocation of permission will need to expire or run their course and will then be removed as requested).

Craft Gallery

The Craft Gallery celebrates handmade works across all craft disciplines. Up to 50 pieces per exhibitor, with display allocated at the Craft Gallery Coordinators’ discretion.

  • Maximum 50 pieces per exhibitor
  • Works must be handmade by the artist to be eligible for awards
  • All pieces must be individually labelled with price and code
  • A Craft Gallery Inventory Form must be completed and submitted with entries
  • For large quantities or oversized pieces, notify the Craft Co-ordinator before submitting
  • Delivery and pick-up costs are at no cost to DACE or Derinya Primary School

No responsibility will be taken by DACE or the school for items not collected by the stated pick-up time.
  14. Only items that have been handmade by the artist will be eligible for the Craft Awards. The Judges’ decisions will be final and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.
  15. Once per exhibition year, after registration, Jewellery Exhibitors must provide accurate details of their taxation status, including GST category and ABN (if applicable), using whatever online platform or other method the Organiser specifies.

The Jewellery Boutique showcases handcrafted jewellery from makers across the Peninsula. Up to 50 pieces per exhibitor, with display allocated at the Boutique Coordinators’ discretion.
