Andrea Kirkham-Hopgood is a Melbourne-based Australian artist known for her light-filled oil paintings of the landscape. Working from her own photographs, she captures familiar roads, landmarks, and natural scenes, creating atmospheric paintings that explore colour, light, and a sense of place.
Her work ranges from small panels to large-scale paintings and reflects both a strong foundation in traditional oil painting techniques and a deep connection to the Australian landscape. Themes of travel, nostalgia, and belonging are woven throughout her work, inviting viewers to reflect on the journeys that shape our lives.
Andrea holds a Bachelor of Education in Art and Craft and balances her studio practice with teaching, workshops, demonstrations, and judging.
